Ministry of Memory

Since 1982, the United Methodist Commission on Archives and History has housed denominational records and rare finds in its 16,000-square-foot space on the Drew University campus in New Jersey.

General Commission on Archives & History

The General Commission on Archives and History facilitates the preservation of our rich history. If you are a scholar or a local church historian or even an amateur genealogist, you can gain access to a wealth of resources and research offered by the Commission.

The General Commission on Archives and History has the following programs in place to assist you, your local church or conference in its ministry of memory.

Grants and Awards - Awards are made for seminary papers, research papers and book-length manuscripts.

Methodist History - A journal dealing with methodism around the world.

List of Publications - Discover what we have. Some of these can be downloaded while others can be purchased.

Workshops -  2-4 hour introductory workshops designed to make the Conference Commission member aware of the full range of duties.
